About Cathy

Cathy_TobiasCathy Tobias has been an innovative leader in healthcare for over 25 years. She has experience managing large caseloads of adults with various disabilities and illnesses in a range of healthcare settings: rehabilitation centers (acute, sub-acute and long-term care), home care, and outpatient and specialty clinics.

Cathy was the director of The University of Minnesota Fairview Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center, a clinic for adults with multiple sclerosis, providing chronic disease management, advocacy, and rehabilitation services. She also managed the overall business operations, program development, fundraising, human resources, and marketing. For her work at this clinic, Cathy received the Twin Cities Business Magazine’s Health Care Hero Award in 2007. Cathy has presented around the country and in Canada on care management for people with chronic diseases.

Cathy is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist and she has a masters degree in organizational leadership. She is also a certified professional co-active life coach. She completed a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist course by the National Builders Association in 2004. In 2008, Cathy became a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist (MSCS) through the Consortium of MS Centers.
